This isn't just another reality TV show; it's a grueling test of endurance, pushing celebrities to their absolute limits. The show, which airs on Channel 4, puts familiar faces through a modified version of the SAS (Special Air Service) training program.
In a candid Instagram story, the Love Island alum shared her raw emotions just before the show's premiere. She confessed to being exhausted, having been up all night with her children, but her excitement for the show shone through. "It was one of the hardest experiences of my entire life," she revealed. Despite the immense difficulty, Dani expressed a desire to revisit the challenge with a more resilient mindset. She admitted she'd love to go back and be "a lot more headstrong."
This year's series amps up the competition, pitting stars from the UK and Australia against each other. Dani, at 29 years old, will be competing on the British team alongside Gabby Allen (22), Jack Joseph (25), and Cole Anderson-James (28). The lineup also includes rugby player Ben Cohen (46), Gladiator and Olympian Toby Olubi (37), and cricketer Graeme Swann (46).
Facing off against them will be MAFS star Jessika Power (33), Neighbours actors Ryan Moloney (45) and Natalie Bassingthwaite (50), Cricketer Brad Hodge (50), and Olympic swimmers Emily Seebohm (33) and Mack Horton (29).
Early reports suggest this season is the most brutal yet, with the celebrities enduring intense heat in North Africa, pushing them both physically and mentally. In the first episode, Dani even brushes off a bloody nose from a boxing match against Jessika. Gabby, despite a painful knee injury, showed incredible determination, stating, "My knee is not going to bring me down. I’ve got another one. I’ll hop."
Chief instructor Mark “Billy” Billingham was particularly impressed with Dani, saying, "Little Dani Dyer surprised me. Very small girl. She was very timid at the start, lacked a lot of confidence and didn’t really believe in herself. She was willing to give up, but found a second wind with support from myself, Chris Oliver, Rudy Reyes and Foxy (Jason Fox). She never believed she could do it but she could."
